Winter Social Skills Groups Coming to the Cary Clinic in January
The Carolina Center for ABA and Autism Treatment is excited to announce the 2015 Winter Social Skills Program in Cary!
The program will consist of weekly group sessions that focus on teaching social competence. Skills to be address include, but are not limited to, joint attention, social initiations, friendship skills, and cooperative play. To qualify children must be between the ages of 4-7 years old and have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). Children must also be able to remain in a group setting without elopement or aggressive behaviors, verbally communicate their wants/needs, and be fully potty trained. All sessions will be limited to 6-8 children and be led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
**Exact ages for this group are flexible at this time. Based on the interest and feedback we receive from potential families. The age range for the group may be altered to maximize the number of children who will benefit. Please contact us if you believe your child would be appropriate for this group but is outside of the identified age range.
