Classroom Readiness Program
The Carolina Center for ABA and Autism Treatment is offering a Classroom Readiness program for families with children on the Autism Spectrum!
What is it?
A research-based comprehensive program designed to teach children the skills necessary to be successful in a classroom setting. Using Applied Behavior Analysis your child will gain social skills, play skills, how to learn in a group, and a love for learning.
Why do we need this program?
Research shows that some children with ASD do not have the skills needed to be successful in a group setting. Using this research we have designed a series of goals that target those skills. Upon completion of the discharge criterion, your child will have the skills needed to transition into a classroom.
Who do we serve?
Children ages 3 to 7 who qualify for behavior analytic services and meet entry criterion.
When and Where will the program take place?
The program will run year-round from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday at the Cary clinic. Official holidays will be observed but RBT and family can choose to have sessions outside of the program.
How will it be run?
Each child, with their 1:1 RBT, participates in a small group. A group leader facilitates the classroom schedule and activities. The program will follow a schedule similar to a classroom.
