Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the only treatment for individuals diagnosed with Autism whose benefits have been consistently validated by independent scientific research. Regarding Autism treatment, ABA has been endorsed as an effective intervention by the American Academy of Pediatrics and United State Surgeon General.
Applied Behavior Analysis is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of leaning theory of improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for improvement in behavior (Bacr, Wolf & Risley, 1968; Sulzer-Azaroff & Mayer, 1991).
This workshop is intended to provide a general understanding of the principles and applications of ABA for Autism and related disabilities. This workshop will also focus on how to effectively decrease maladeptive behavior and teach appropriate replacement skills. This 8 week series consist of one session per week.
$200 Per Person, per series (4 week session/8 hrs)

An Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis
Session 1: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis "So..... what is ABA exactly?"
Session 2: Using Applied Behavior Analysis to teach "How can ABA/ VB help my child?"
Session 3: Dealing with Behaviors "How can Applied Behavior Analysis decrease problem behaviors?"
Session 4: Structuring an Individualized Program "How can I set up a successful home program"
Workshop presented in the following formats: lecture, individuals exercises, group exercises, question & answer, video model and role playing.
This instructional structure is utilized to further enhance the attendees learning experience. Supplemental handouts/training aids will be provided by the presenter.
